Hello, my name is Hannah!

I am a Social Media Specialist and with experience creating and distributing content for professional and collegiate athletics. I specialize in digital storytelling, live event coverage, short-form video, and building meaningful connections between teams and their fans.

Growing up in Bloomington, Indiana, sports were always a part of my life. That passion led me to Indiana University, where I earned a degree in Media Advertising with a specialization in Sports Journalism. While at IU, I spent four years as a member of the Indiana University Cheerleading team and worked as a Social & Digital Media Intern for IU Athletics. Those experiences taught me the importance of teamwork, leadership, adaptability, and performing under pressure. These are skills that continue to shape the way I approach my work today.

Following graduation in 2023, I joined the Tampa Bay Rays as a Social Media Intern for the 2023 MLB season. Working in Major League Baseball gave me firsthand experience in professional sports distributing real-time content, covering live events, and contributing to the club’s digital storytelling throughout a 162-game season.

After the season, I relocated to Chicago to join the Big Ten Network as a Digital Content Coordinator. In that role, I led the network’s team of social-first video producers across all Big Ten universities, helping guide content strategy, maintain brand standards, coordinate publishing efforts, and collaborate with schools to create engaging digital content that resonated with fans throughout the conference.

In 2024, I returned to the Tampa Bay Rays as a full-time Social Media Specialist, where I continue to develop and execute content across the club’s social platforms. My work spans everything from live gameday coverage and events to campaign planning, copywriting, and platform-specific storytelling. I enjoy collaborating with teammates across departments to create content that feels authentic to the organization while strengthening the connection between the team and its fans.

As an employee, I am determined and hard-working. What I believe sets me apart is my flair for creativity and extroverted personality. I possess a strong knowledge of the niches involved in the sports industry including, but not limited to, working under deadlines, interacting with athletes, thriving in fast-paced environments, long hours, being attentive to details, and all the other unique experiences that come with working in the sports industry.
